Double Eyelid Surgery: Correct Hidden Eyelids
Today, I’m getting double eyelid surgery with Dr. Rongkaw’s medical team at Lovely Eye & Skin Clinic. The clinic is very easy and convenient to get to. As soon as I walked in, I was impressed—the clinic was clean and comfortable, with a relaxing waiting area. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Before the surgery day, I sent photos of my eyes to the clinic for an initial assessment so the doctor could give me a general idea of which procedure would be suitable before my in-person consultation. Immediately after the surgery, the incisions looked very neat and small, and my eyelid creases already looked symmetrical. As soon as I came out of the operating room and looked in the mirror, I loved the results! There was very little swelling or bruising. The doctor had a very gentle touch, and I barely felt any pain. The only slightly uncomfortable part was the first local anesthesia injection. I felt relaxed throughout the procedure, and both the doctor and the surgical assistant took great care of me.

Foods to Avoid During Recovery
The staff gave me detailed self-care instructions, as proper aftercare is an important part of the recovery process. After my double eyelid surgery, the staff advised me to avoid pickled and fermented foods, chicken, eggs, shrimp paste, fermented fish, and seafood for at least 3 weeks after surgery, based on the clinic’s post-operative guidelines.

Tips After Stitch Removal Procedure
It’d been 12 days since my eyelid surgery, so I went back to the clinic to have my stitches removed. I still wasn’t quite used to my new look yet, but so many people had already told me that my eyes looked softer and sweeter. Every time I visited the clinic, I was always warmly welcomed and very well taken care of. I was really impressed with their service!
After the stitches were removed, I was advised to wait 2 days and then continue applying the ointment until completing 1 week. I could wash my face again and wear makeup, but I needed to avoid the eye area for the time being. Once I reached the 3-week mark, I could finally go back to doing my full makeup.

What Issues Can Double Eyelid Surgery Address?
Based on my experience, I can say that double eyelid surgery isn’t just about creating a visible eyelid crease. It also helped address many of the eye concerns I had before surgery and made a noticeable difference in the overall appearance of my eyes.
1. Droopy Eyes
Double eyelid surgery can help address several concerns associated with droopy eyelids, including hooded monolids, hidden double eyelids, small-looking eyes, and monolids, by creating a more visible and defined eyelid crease. In my case, after surgery, my eyelid creases became much more defined, the puffy appearance of my eyelids was reduced, and my eyes looked brighter and more refreshed.
2. Asymmetrical Eyes
Eye asymmetry can have several causes. It may be related to congenital facial or eye structure, such as differences between the left and right sides of the face or uneven eye sockets. It can also be caused by droopy eyelids, which can make one eye appear smaller or the eyelid creases look uneven.
Depending on the individual case, the doctor may remove excess eyelid skin to make the eyelid creases appear more symmetrical. In my case, injections were also used to adjust the brow and eyelid area and help correct my habit of raising one eyebrow, which contributed to the asymmetry. 3. Sagging outer corners of the eyes
