As an artist manager, I meet people all the time and accompany the artist to almost every event they attend. That’s why I’ve always believed that maintaining a professional appearance is important. It’s not just the artists who are constantly in the spotlight—my image also reflects professionalism and credibility.
For quite some time, I had been thinking about getting my droopy eyelids corrected because they made my eyes look tired and my face appear less refreshed, even when I felt perfectly fine. After doing my research, I decided to book a consultation at Lovely Eye & Skin Clinic. Since so many people have been asking me where I had my eyelid procedure done, I think sharing a detailed review of my experience would be useful.

Before double eyelid and ptosis surgery
Causes of Droopy Eyelids
Dr. Mina Lovely Eye (Dr. Mina Naratippakorn Medical License No. 43109) explained that my droopy eyelids were primarily caused by my natural eye structure and ptosis. The muscle responsible for lifting my upper eyelids wasn't functioning at full strength, causing my eyelids to droop and making my eyes appear heavy and tired. This also explained why I often experienced eye fatigue, especially after long hours of using my eyes. She also explained that as we age, the skin around the eyes naturally loses collagen and elasticity, making it less firm over time. As a result, the eyelids can gradually sag, causing the eyes to look less bright and more fatigued than they actually are.
After hearing Dr. Mina's explanation, everything finally made sense. I realized why people often thought I looked serious or unapproachable when I wasn't smiling. My naturally droopy eyelids gave my face a tired, stern expression, even when I felt perfectly fine.
Recommended Procedures to Correct Droopy Eyelids
After a thorough assessment, Dr. Mina recommended that I undergo double eyelid surgery combined with ptosis surgery.
For the double eyelid procedure, the excess eyelid skin was carefully removed to create a more defined and natural-looking eyelid crease. As for ptosis, many people may not be familiar with this technique. It is a procedure used to treat ptosis (weak eyelid muscles) by tightening and strengthening the levator muscle, which is responsible for lifting the upper eyelid. As a result, the eyes can open more fully without having to constantly raise the eyebrows or lift the forehead, which was something I used to do unconsciously.
Dr. Mina recommended combining both procedures because, in many cases, double eyelid surgery alone is not enough. While it can create a visible eyelid crease, it does not address the underlying weakness of the levator muscle. If the root cause isn't corrected, the eyelids may continue to droop over time, increasing the likelihood of needing eyelid surgery revision in the future.
How Was the Surgery Day
I started feeling nervous the moment I arrived at the clinic, but the staff made me feel at ease right away. They welcomed me warmly and explained each step of the process in detail, so I knew exactly what to expect.
The first step was changing into a surgical gown. After that, Dr. Mina carefully marked my eyelids and showed me the final design of my new eyelid crease to make sure I was happy with it before the procedure began.
Once I entered the operating room, my excitement and nervousness definitely doubled. Thankfully, Dr. Mina kept informing me through every stage of the procedure, which was very reassuring. I didn't feel any pain at all because a local anesthetic was administered beforehand. I was aware that the procedure was being performed around my eyes, mainly because I could hear what was happening, but there was no pain.
The surgery took a little over an hour. Afterward, the staff gave me detailed aftercare instructions and provided a massage cream to help reduce swelling and support the healing process. I then went home to recover and returned to the clinic nine days later to have my stitches removed.
Results After Droopy Eyelids Correction

LOVELY EYE 3 WEEKS 9/3/26
This photo was taken three weeks after my procedure. The swelling was much less than I had expected, especially considering it hadn’t even been a month yet. The clinic staff also recommended that I continue applying scar cream to help reduce the swelling and support the healing process. They also advised me to wear sunscreen regularly to protect the incision area and help prevent the scar from becoming darker.

LOVELY EYE 3 MONTHS 21/5/26
It’s now been three months since my procedure, and my eyelid crease has settled into place beautifully. I honestly couldn’t be happier with the results. Looking back at my previous photos, the difference is noticeable. The left eyelid crease is much more defined. Before the procedure, the crease was only visible from the middle of my eye toward the outer corner. Now, both eyes look much more balanced, and my overall appearance is brighter and more refreshed.
These days, I feel much more confident wherever I go, whether I’m attending events or meeting lots of people. Many friends and colleagues have even commented that I look better and more energetic. Choosing to have the procedure was definitely the right decision for me.
If you’re dealing with droopy eyelids like I was, I highly recommend booking a consultation at Lovely Eye & Skin Clinic.
