Double Eyelid Surgery: Solution for Droopy Eyelids

This is my very first review and also my first experience with cosmetic surgery. I naturally have short-shaped with undefined creases. This type of eye shape is common for Asians. Therefore, I have to rely on double eyelid tape every day, which made my makeup routine time-consuming. I spent a long time to decide whether I should have surgery done. This is because I am afraid of the pain and worried that the results might not turn out well. But once I finally made up my mind, the admin recommended that I have my eyelid surgery performed by the Lovely Specialist medical team.
On the day of surgery, the clinic took very good care of me and explained everything clearly. The whole process was well organized. When I met the doctor, they asked what kind of eyelid crease I wanted. Personally, I liked the eyelid shape I usually created with double eyelid tape: a sharp, defined crease that suited my face, made my eyes look bigger, and made applying makeup easier.
In the end, the doctor recommended double eyelid surgery together with inner corner eye extension. Let’s see what the doctor said during the consultation. I have to say, the doctor explained everything in great detail, which made me feel much less worried.
BASELINE EYE: Uneven eyes and droopy eyes caused by excess fat and skin. Tissue stretched at the inner corners, resulting in less proportioned eyes.
Before the surgery, I had a consultation with the surgeon who would be performing my procedure. The doctor carefully examined my eye structure and eyelids from every angle to identify all of the underlying issues and recommend the most comprehensive treatment plan. This approach helps achieve the best possible result and reduces the chance of needing revision surgery.
In my case, the doctor explained that my eyes were asymmetrical, and I had droopy eyelids caused by thick eyelid fat and excess skin. The excess tissue was pressing down on my eyelid crease, making it almost invisible and causing my eyes to look smaller and without a defined crease. In addition, the inner corners of my eyes were partially covered by a skin fold, making the shape of my eyes appear less balanced. Based on my eye structure, the doctor recommended double eyelid surgery combined with inner corner eye opening to create longer, more proportionate, and naturally defined eyes.

1. Lovely Blepharoplasty Signature
This procedure is recommended for those with monolids, excess upper eyelid skin, and droopy eyes. The doctor will remove excess fat and eyelid skin before creating the new creases. This will result in naturally refined creases. Your eyes will no longer appear droopy, no need to use the eyelid tape anymore.
2. Inner Corner Eye Extension
This procedure involves removing the tissue that covers the inner corner of the eye, allowing the inner corner to open and create a longer, more refined eye shape. It helps improve the overall proportions of the eyes by correcting eyes that appear short, blunt, or lack definition, as well as improving the appearance of an unbalanced iris exposure. After the procedure, the eyes look longer, softer, and more elegant, making makeup application easier and enhancing the overall appearance.
3. Botox Injection
In my case, the doctor also recommended botox injections together with the eyelid surgery. This helps balance the eyebrows and supports the eyelid creases as they heal, allowing them to settle more evenly and naturally. It also helps correct uneven eyelid creases and enhances the overall surgical result.
When it was time for the surgery, I was impressed by how clean and well-prepared the operating room was. The doctor and the two assistants were incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure. They even played music to help me relax, so I didn’t feel nervous or tense. The first local anesthetic injection stung a little, but it was completely manageable. After that, I didn’t feel any pain at all. Once the surgery was finished, I left the operation room and went home feeling comfortable and relaxed.

LOVELY EYE 10 DAYS
10 days later, I did not feel any pain. My eyelid creases started to settle. However, swelling continued to occur during this period. The staff took really good care of me. Whenever asked questions, they responded very quickly with detailed explanation. After resting my eyes and applying cold compresses on the first day after surgery, I was able to return to work as usual. The clinic has a highly experienced medical team, and the staff took excellent care of me throughout the entire process. I'm very happy with the results—my eyes look softer, brighter, and naturally beautiful, exactly the way I had hoped. Overall, I had a great experience and couldn't be more satisfied with my new look.

LOVELY EYE 1 MONTH
About a month after surgery, there was still a little swelling, but it has gone down significantly. I tend to heal a bit slowly, so it may take a little longer for my eyelids to fully settle. Even so, I absolutely love how they look, especially when I wear makeup. My eyes appear bigger, longer, and more defined, and my droopy eyelids are no longer an issue. All of the eye concerns I used to have have finally been resolved.

LOVELY EYE 2 MONTHS
It's been two months after surgery, my eye appear noticeably larger, rounder, and brighter than before. My eyelid creases have started to settle and look much more natural. However, the staff told me that the swelling will continue to go down and my eyelids will keep settling over the next few months. It usually takes about 3–6 months for the creases to completely settle.
Right now, I absolutely love my new eyes. My eyelid creases are even and symmetrical, making makeup so much easier. I no longer need to use double eyelid tape, and I feel much more confident in photos because my eyes look brighter and more photogenic. Choosing to have my eyelid surgery here was definitely the right decision.
After surgery, many people complimented me on my naturally beautiful eyelids. Some of them even asked me which clinic I went for double eyelid surgery. For those who would like to undergo eyelid surgery or currently struggling with any eye concerns, I highly recommend scheduling a consultation with the Lovely Specialist team first.
