Next, the clinic staff gave me detailed instructions on post-operative care, including how to clean the incision sites, apply ointment, take my medications, use cold compresses correctly, which foods to eat or avoid, and which activities to refrain from during recovery. After that, I met the doctor for a thorough eye examination and final assessment before the surgery

After examining my eyes, the doctor recommended revision double eyelid surgery to remove the excess drooping eyelid skin, along with epicanthoplasty (inner corner opening) to improve the overall proportions of my eyes.
The doctor explained that revision double eyelid surgery involves removing the previous incision line and scar tissue from my first surgery. During the procedure, she would also remove excess eyelid skin and the accumulated fat that was making my upper eyelids look puffy and swollen. This would correct the drooping skin that had begun to cover my eyelid crease, creating a more defined double eyelid without the heavy, bulky appearance.
In addition, my inner eye corners were partially covered, giving my eyes a shorter, downward appearance. To address this, she recommended epicanthoplasty, a procedure that removes the excess skin covering the inner corners of the eyes. This opens up the inner corners, making the eyes appear longer, more balanced, and better proportioned.
Once the consultation was complete and my new eyelid crease had been carefully designed, it was time for surgery. If you're having eyelid surgery for the first time, there's no need to worry. Ten days after my revision eyelid surgery, my new eyelid creases were already clearly visible. The doctor designed them beautifully, and both sides looked even and symmetrical. The same applied to washing my hair. To avoid getting the incisions wet, I found it much easier to have my hair washed at a salon during the first few days after surgery.
LOVELY EYE 2 WEEKS
About two weeks after my revision eyelid surgery, I returned to the clinic to have my stitches removed. After the stitches came out, I continued following all of Dr. Mina's post-operative instructions to ensure the best possible healing.
Even at this stage, I was already thrilled with the results. My eyelid creases were well defined, and my eyes looked more lifted and elongated, giving me the Western-inspired look I had hoped for.
