Uneven Eyes From Ptosis on One Eye: How to Fix?

Before this, I never thought I’d ever get cosmetic surgery done because I’m honestly someone who’s really scared of pain. I always thought, “Makeup can fix it anyway.” But there was one issue that had bothered me for years and slowly started affecting my confidence — my eyes were uneven from ptosis on eye. My left eye especially looked droopier than the other side. At first, I thought it was just because I wasn’t getting enough rest, but it stayed that way for so long that I finally started looking for a real solution.

BASELINE EYE 18/8/24

Before double eyelid and ptosis surgery

I spend a lot of time scrolling through social media, and one day I came across reviews from Lovely Eye & Skin Clinic. I saw many cases with concerns similar to mine — not just uneven eyelids, but eyes that looked sleepy, tired, and lacked brightness. After their procedures, their eyes looked naturally refreshed and more balanced, so I decided to book a consultation.

Honestly, I was really nervous on the day of my appointment, but everyone at the clinic was so kind and welcoming that I felt comfortable right away. I had a detailed consultation with Dr. Coke Lovely Eye (Dr. Akkharawit Eiamsamarng, Medical License No. 43184). What impressed me most was that he didn’t rush to recommend random techniques just to make a sale. Instead, he carefully analyzed the root cause of my problem first. After examining my eyes thoroughly, Dr. Coke explained that my issue wasn’t just about having uneven eyelids. I actually had Ptosis on one eye, which caused my left eyelid to appear as if it had multiple folds. If you looked closely at the center of my eyelid, it was very noticeable.

He recommended double eyelid surgery combined with ptosis surgery to address the ptosis on one eye at the same time. This technique helps strengthen the muscle responsible for lifting the eyelid, preventing excess skin from covering the crease and creating a more defined and balanced eyelid shape. After talking with him, I felt so much more confident about the procedure. He explained every step in detail, including the eyelid design, recovery period, and how he would create a shape that suited my face naturally.

The actual surgery took less time than I expected. The only uncomfortable part was the numbing injection, which stung a little, but Dr. Coke was very gentle. The staff kept checking on me throughout the procedure, asking if I was okay and making sure I felt comfortable. I spent just a little over an hour in the operating room for all the procedures.

LOVELY EYE 1 MONTH

22/9/24

There was some swelling and bruising during the first few days, which is completely normal. I followed all the aftercare instructions from the clinic carefully — cold and warm compresses, avoiding certain foods, and getting enough rest. After about one week, the swelling started going down noticeably. By the one-month mark, I could already see a significant difference. My left eyelid looked much smoother and more balanced, and the multiple folds that used to bother me were completely gone.

What I love most about the result is how natural it looks. It doesn’t look overly done at all. I just look like a brighter, more refreshed version of myself. My face looks more energized, and I no longer need to angle my face to hide my left side whenever I take photos.

For anyone struggling with Ptosis on one eye and feeling insecure about uneven eyes or difficulty applying makeup, I really recommend getting a consultation with the doctor first. Sometimes the issue isn’t just about the eyelid crease itself, but the eyelid muscle. This is  exactly like what I experienced.

For me, deciding to do this wasn’t only about beauty. It was about gaining my confidence back. Now, even when I go out bare-faced, I feel so much more confident and genuinely happier with myself.
