BASELINE EYE: Hidden eyelids caused by droopy eyes. Excess fat and skin covered the creases which made my eyes appear like monolids.
Before the surgery, my eyes had almost no visible eyelid crease because of droopy eyelids. My upper eyelids looked puffy and swollen, making me appear tired all the time, as if I had just woken up. My eyes never looked fresh or bright, which really bothered me. So, I started researching double eyelid surgery to see if it could help correct my droopy eyelids. Since I was worried about not getting the results I wanted or needing revision surgery later, I spent a lot of time gathering information. I talked to friends and acquaintances who had undergone eyelid surgery, read countless reviews, and carefully compared different clinics and doctors.

For my case, the doctor explained that my condition was what they call "hooded eyelids covering the eyelid crease." This was caused by an excessive amount of fat in my upper eyelids, which made the eyelid skin droop and press down on the crease, making my double eyelids virtually invisible. To treat the issue, the doctor recommended double eyelid surgery combined with the removal of excess eyelid skin and fat. This approach would help create a more defined eyelid crease while preventing the excess skin from covering it again, effectively addressing my hidden double eyelids.

LOVELY EYE 0 DAY: Immediately after surgery
Right after the surgery, as soon as I left the operation room, I could already see a noticeable difference. My new eyelid crease was much more defined compared to before the procedure. My eyelashes looked a little dramatic at first, but the staff reassured me that there was nothing to worry about. They explained that once the swelling subsided and my eyelids settled into their final shape, my eyelashes would return to a more natural appearance. Their explanation helped me feel much more relaxed and confident during the recovery process.
If you want your eyelids to heal and settle more quickly, the staff shared some very helpful aftercare tips with me. During the first 1–3 days after surgery, they recommended applying cold compresses regularly, cleaning the incision area carefully, taking all prescribed medications as prescribed by the doctor.
Another important tip was to sleep with my head elevated higher than usual. Using two pillows can help minimize swelling around the eyes during the recovery period. In addition, I was advised to avoid certain foods until the incision had fully healed, including meat-based protein, raw or undercooked foods, seafood, and alcoholic beverages. Following these guidelines helped support a smoother recovery and allowed my eyelids to settle more quickly
LOVELY EYE 13 DAYS
On day 13 after surgery, I returned to the clinic for my stitch removal appointment. By then, the incision had dried well and was healing nicely. After the stitches were removed, I was advised to wait another two days before washing my face normally again. Following stitch removal, the clinic provided a different ointment for me to apply regularly. Using it consistently helped reduce the appearance of the surgical scar, promoted faster healing, and encouraged the incision to become smoother and less noticeable over time. I also made sure to apply warm compresses regularly, as recommended by the doctor, which helped reduce swelling and supported a quicker recovery process.
LOVELY EYE 4 MONTHS
Four months after the surgery, both eyelids had fully settled. Besides having a more defined eyelid crease, the surgery also helped correct my droopy eyelids, making my eyes look brighter and more refreshed while giving me a boost in confidence. I feel that my eyelids look very natural now, and I absolutely love the result. My eyes appear bigger, and my eyelids no longer droop like they used to. When I take photos, I feel like my eyes express emotions much better than before. Therefore, the overall appearance seems to be more lively and friendly.
