BASELINE EYE: Hidden, uneven eyelids due to droopy eyes and excess fat. This made both eyes appear short and disproportionate.
First of all, I wanna share about steps before surgery. I reached out to the clinic via their official page for online consultation. The medical team will primarily examine your eye structure from the photo you sent. The admin was very helpful and responsive, which helped me make a decision quickly as well. Once I decided to go ahead, I scheduled the surgery date and paid the deposit right away.
Before surgery, I had to take a bit more care of myself because certain things can affect the surgery and healing process. For example, smoking and drinking alcohol can slow down wound healing, so they should be avoided for about two weeks prior surgery. Some medications and supplements can also affect blood clotting, so they should be stopped before surgery as advised by the medical team. If you use eyelid tape or stickers, it is recommended to stop using them for about one week before the procedure.
On the surgery day, the staff greatly took care of me in every step with a warm welcome. After filling out the personal form, the staff would provide medical guidance, take you to the changing room, and clean your facial skin.
As for the surgery details, the doctor clearly explained the issues with my eyes and recommended the most suitable procedures for me. There are actually several techniques that can be combined to achieve western eye look as I desired. The doctor also gave me an idea of the expected results so I could better visualize the outcome. Let’s take a look at what procedures were recommended for me.
1. Double eyelid surgery
My natural eye shape was a hidden monolid. The eyelid skin was thick and puffy, which made my eyes look swollen all the time. It wasn’t the kind of puffiness you get from crying or lack of sleep, but rather puffiness caused by excess eyelid fat and loose skin. This created hooded eyelids that covered the crease, making my eyes appear smaller and like a single eyelid.
The doctor explained that if I wanted a more defined double eyelid with a more Western-style crease, it was possible to achieve. The procedure would involve removing excess eyelid skin and fat before creating the double eyelid crease with sutures, allowing the crease to look more defined and visible. The doctor also designed the eyelid shape to give a more Western-inspired look while still matching my facial features naturally.
2. Inner corner eye extension
I decided to undergo an inner corner eye extension procedure too. The medical team told me that I had skin tension on the inner corners of the eyes, just like I had fierce eyes. This technique would remove excess skin on those eye areas.
3. Outer corner eye extension
If you have uneven eye proportions, short or less elongated outer corners, or want sharper, more balanced eyes, doctors often recommend the outer corner eye extension (lateral canthoplasty). This procedure helps balance the proportions between the inner and outer corners of the eyes, creating a more symmetrical look. So, I got Western eye as I wanted.
4. Botox program
The last one is a botox program recommended after double eyelid surgery. The program helps reduce the movement of eyebrows and forehead when you raise eyebrows. This is another habit, which may cause uneven eyelid creases in the future.

There was swelling on eyelids during this period. However, the staff provided detailed information on self-care tips e.g. cold/warm compress, medication, sleep with head elevated, and nutrition. These help reduce swelling effectively, so I had no worries about it.
LOVELY EYE 10 DAYS
After 10 days, the swelling had gone down, and the changes became much more noticeable. The eyelid crease looked more defined, and the eyes appeared bigger. Another thing is that the doctor’s stitching was very neat and precise. There was no bruising, and the incision was very small.
LOVELY EYE 1 MONTH
One month after the surgery, everything started to settle into place. The scars faded very quickly, and now my eyes look beautifully sharp exactly the way I wanted. The doctor designed the eyelid shape so well, and it really matches my overall look and personality.
LOVELY EYE 2 MONTHS
2 months after surgery, I felt that the time went by so quickly. The eyelid creases settled faster than I expected. I tried to put on full makeup and it turned out so gorgeous. My eyes seem to be more balanced. This allows me to create different makeup looks I have never tried before.
